Born and raised in Saskatoon, Dr. Schindel holds a B.Sc.(Hons) in Microbiology & Immunology, a Medical Doctorate (MD), and a Family Medicine Residency from the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Schindel has a wide variety of experience, including emergency, mental health, and rural & remote medicine. For the past two years, he’s been practicing interventional pain medicine as part of the Shield Clinic’s multidisciplinary team with a special interest in myofascial pain syndrome interventions and is pursuing further expertise in regenerative Interventional therapies.
Dr. Schindel sees how interventional pain medicine plays a key role in optimizing patients’ function in and outside the home, with the aim of improving one’s overall quality of life.
